英语就是这样(14) 动名词（ Gerund）

动名词（ Gerund）会帮忙你在写作多样化，让人读了你的文章不会枯燥。动名词（ Gerund）就是英语所谓的动词 （VERB）在尾端加上 ING 如 ：walk 变成 walking， come 变成 coming， drink变成drinking，：read 变成 reading 等等。

请看下例的句子：

He came from a poor family. He determined to work hard for the sake of his family.

他来自一个贫穷的家庭。为了他的家人，他决心努力工作。

注意这里有两段句子。句子的开端都是描写同样一个人 （HE），我们可写为：

Coming from a poor family, he determined to work hard for the sake of his family.

开端就用了动名词（ Gerund）的 coming 。

Judy suffers from serious illness. She now has to stay home for recuperation.

朱蒂患有严重的疾病。她现在已经在家休养.

两段句子的开端朱蒂（Judy）和她(She)都是描写同样一个人 ，我们可写为

Suffering from serious illness, Judy now has to stay home for recuperation.

须注意的是第一段的朱蒂(Judy)要移至第二段与她(She)对换。
