有时我们在阅读时，句子的开端是 being. 那么，being是怎么用？

看看以下的例子，你就会明白。

John was late. He was scolded by his boss.

如果句子的开端是同属一个人 （John 和 he），我们可把这两段句子，换着

Being late, John was scolded by his boss.

再看：-

She was a student. She was not allowed to drink.

Being a student, she was not allowed to drink.

从这两个例子，我们可看出，being的后面是形容词(late)或名词(student).

Being a slow learner, his score was always below average.

Being a senior citizen, Thomas was entitled to get 50% discount on the ticket.

Being single, he always comes home late.

Being hungry, a little boy finished his food within seconds.
