Come clean and fair with your slogan first!

What a relief for peace-loving Malaysians when the “Bersih 5.0” demonstration ended with only petty incidents. A tribute to our police!

The motto of the “ Bersih “ is for a free and fair election of which its fundamental ingredient requires transparency and accountability. However, as we now know this basic requirement has not been put into practice by Bersih. The involvement of politicians had cast much doubts on its independence and impartiality.

Sarcastically, Malaysians had been kept in dark the funding of the activities of Bersih by the Open Society Foundations helmed by controversial billionaire-philanthropist George Soros. It is quite amusing and ironical for Malaysians to have the knowledge of it after the tranche of hacked emails in DC Leaks disclosed it. When the funding expose was pushed into the public foyer, the Bersih leadership admitted that it was only a mere token sum of RM90,000 that came from Soros. Admission is negative response to answers which should be made known earlier as admission means disclose the hidden. Bersih is clearly the mockery of its motto of transparency.

It is disgusting to note that solidarity and integrity of our country is being tilted through the so-called Bersih activities with the interference of foreign elements. Political maturity is important for all Malaysians to analyze the hidden agenda of all political backed activities. There have been attacks and blames from the opposition on Government for the continuing weakness of our ringgit. The Bersih demonstration only served to create political instability and uncertainty which indirectly negated the steadiness of our currency despite our strong fundamental growth.
